Float
Stop Motion
Animation Video

Float is a stop motion animation video that chronicles an excerpt from one of Muhammad Ali’s most notorious interviews. The interview conducted in 1971 by Michael Parkinson shows Muhammad Ali questioning the white representation that he encountered when he was a child. Ali reminisces on when he was a young boy asking his mother why Jesus was white? He further goes on to ask why so many objects were described as white and why there wasn’t any black representation depicted in the same manner. In Float, the great Muhammad Ali is shown practicing his footwork and shadowboxing alone in the ring until he mysteriously begins to float towards the heavens.
